Kappa Omicron Tau

(KOT)

PURPOSE

 

1. To interest young women in careers in teaching and other related educational careers.

2. To have the college guidance program become operative early in the life of these young women.

3. To expand the knowledge of and interest in the philosophy and program of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.

MEMBERSHIP

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. (NSPDK) is committed to offering a variety of experiences that will enable KOT's to become competent, dedicated and effective educators. The KOT component provides guidance, career counseling, community service opportunities, educational advising and training in leadership skills for female college students who are matriculating in the field of education, related educational fields and display good moral character.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • College student matriculating in a degree program in the
    field of education or related fields.

  • Must maintain a "B" Average.

  • Demonstrate good character and academic grades.

  • Volunteer in community service, youth groups, civic
    organizations, intergenerational services, mentor children and other service oriented activities.
